Isaac Vallie-Flagg vs Travis Coyle Main Event Jacksons MMA Series XV June 6th (170)

Isaac was cut by the UFC, whether it was age (37) or the dreaded three losses and your out deal is a question that only they can answer. Bellator didn't pick him up, but Jacksons MMA Series did. Which makes sense because he trains with Jackson-Wink MMA gym.  A fighter is only as good as his wins in this sport, and on June 6th he faced Travis Coyle who likes to grapple and wrestle, proven by most of his wins being submissions. By most, I mean 11 wins by submission. Going by the wins he likes the guillotine choke and when Isaac has lost it has been either by submission or decision. Definitely an interesting fight!

Jacksons MMA Series is always exciting, and loaded with MMA star power. Not only do you get to see great fights, and awesome upcoming fighters with a solid high quality promotion, you also get to see proven fighters who train at the Jackson camp.  Not only that but fighters out of Conquest MMA and Lutttrell's MMA are equally exciting!

Great lighting, exciting announcements, unlike some other small promotions. Jacksons Series gets it going!

But twice, and unfortunately, Travis turned Isaac around and planted him right in front of me. From there I was unable to see any action or get any shots except of the back of Vallie-Flagg. I missed the liver shot that KO'd Travis Coyle.

Josh Moreno vs Elias Proce - Jacksons XV June 6th

Ever since I saw Elias fight at the Star Center for Sparta Combat League, I became a fan! I always like the heavyweights, maybe it's the knockouts. But Elias is well rounded, winning by submission vs Chad Chestnut previously, he came in to take on another heavy hitter, Josh Moreno who fights with Jackson-Wink MMA Team. Elias destroyed his opponent most of the round, until Josh Moreno scored a lucky punch that gave him a KO victory.

Jesse Tafoya vs George Martinez - Jacksons XV June 6th

Not to long ago I saw George Martinez fight an epic battle against Javier Cepeda. George fought through an arm bar and sat in a triangle and survived to the end of the fight only to have Javier take the decision. But there was no question, George Martinez is one tough guy! On June 6th in Santa Fe he took on Jesse Tafoya who is an extremely entertaining fighter, and makes it look easy. Let the pictures speak for themselves!

This leg kick lifted George off the ground.

So, George threw a spinning kick that I missed because the ref had blocked my camera, and then everyone shouted "Karate Kid!!!" and Jesse flew through the air trying to kick George... was really wild!

Cynthia Arceo vs Lorna Johnson - Jacksons XV June 6th

I have never heard or seen anything from either of these fighters, but I became an instant fan of both! This was one heck of a fight, and that's an understatement! I thought Lorna Johnson was going to destroy Cynthia at first. Lorna landed some of the meanest strikes and ground and pound, even going for a choke. But Arceo was unstoppable! She got up and went through every face crushing strike and managed to get the ref to stop the fight due to her own crushing strikes! What a fight it was! If I don't see both of these ladies in Invicta, I will have to question the organization.  A ton of photos ahead, this was an epic fight!

Dominic Yara vs Andrew Herrea - Jacksons XV June 6th

Dominic Yara has quickly become one of my favorite fighters. He comes out looking to put on a show and is entertaining throughout. Yara trains with William Carpenter from http://www.conquestmartialarts.com/ and they have a great team, all the fighters I have seen from this camp are well rounded. Obviously, a fun fight to watch. Here are the pictures! Thanks to Andrew Herrea for the great fight, Andrew is a tough opponent for anyone!

Saalim Nance vs Julian Chavez - Jacksons XV June 6th

Here are the photos from the fight Nance vs Chavez! Chavez came out fighting but wasn't able to handle the ground game from Nance. The fight ended by rear naked choke as shown in the pictures below. Thanks for a great fight from both fighters!
